As Regional Manager, Fleet Operations, you will:
- Lead and oversee regional fleet operations, ensuring high quality, client focused service delivery across ministries.
- Manage and mentor a dispersed team of professionals with a range of technical and service oriented roles.
- Partner with client ministries to understand operational needs and provide advice on fleet planning, acquisition, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.
- Support the interpretation and application of procurement directives, fleet standards, and legislative requirements, including the Highway Traffic Act.
- Use data and operational insights to inform decisions and recommend incremental improvements to fleet programs and practices.
Please note:
- This position is based in St. Catharines and requires on-site work five days per week.
- Occasional travel within the region may be required.
Meet Your New Team
The Business Support Services Branch provides direction and leadership to the OPS in delivering the enterprise-wide Fleet Management Centre, and to MTO in managing its workspaces, information management/records, freedom of information. We also provide transportation-related emergency planning and management services to Ontario.
In this role, you will report to Brian Cowan, Manager, Fleet Management Centre.

- Advisory Role: You are comfortable providing advice, recommendations, and guidance to clients and stakeholders based on operational knowledge and analysis.
Technical and Operational Expertise
- Fleet Management Experience: You bring solid experience in fleet operations or asset management and understand the core principles of fleet and equipment management.
- Operational and Analytical Skills: You are able to interpret data, assess fleet needs, and draw practical conclusions to support decision-making and recommendations.
- Policy and Legislative Awareness: You have experience working within policy and legislative frameworks, including understanding and applying requirements related to fleet operations.
- Service Delivery Orientation: You understand the operational realities of delivering fleet services and focus on practical, client-focused solutions.
