The Corporation of the City of North Bay is currently seeking applications for the position of Treasury Clerk - Adjustments.
Reporting to the Manager, Tax and Water the successful incumbent will be responsible for all adjustments to tax accounts. Calculates, balances and inputs adjustments to tax accounts in accordance with tax policies. Assists the Manager, Tax and Water, Tax Specialist as well as the Assessment and Real Estate Specialist with the day-to-day clerical duties associated with Tax Policy and Assessment Base Management Programs.
Qualifications:
- College Diploma in Accounting
- Three (3) years’ experience in a related field
- Ability to prepare mathematical calculations quickly and accurately
- Knowledge and ability to interpret complex legislation pertaining to assessment and taxation
- Knowledge of Tax and Water System
- Excellence and confidence in the skills of written communication and interaction with stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and respectfully with members of the public
- Good working knowledge of office methods and procedures
- Proficiency in the use of computers and excel spreadsheets
