Primary Duties
The Systems Analyst is responsible for the development and maintenance of software solutions to support business strategies and goals. The incumbent analyzes, designs and plans information system changes based on business needs and regulatory requirements.
Major Responsibilities:
- Engages with business users to evaluate business needs and requirements for system changes and/or operational improvements.
- Document and design software solutions to achieve business requirements.
- Develop code for feature enhancements or bug fixes based on system requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on code development, tooling and implementation of best practices.
- Develop and plan technical components such as system architecture to support business needs.
- Monitor and perform maintenance activities that ensure system health and uptime for critical business processes.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including preparation and execution of test plans/cases.
- Validate designs by executing unit, system and integration testing and documenting bugs or defects in the software.
- Participate in the review of programming methodologies for use by the team.
- Adhere to established best practice processes for application development and implementation of web design.
- Participate in code reviews with team members and provide feedback on code design and structure.
- Maintain documentation and prepare required release notes consistent with established software development methodologies and standards.

- Azure DevOps
- UML Modeling
- Agile Methodologies
- SharePoint
- M365 tools and apps
Knowledge:
- Advanced knowledge of web architecture
- Intermediate knowledge of accessibility standards as it relates to system development
- Advanced knowledge of various development environments
- Advanced knowledge of Client Server architecture
- Basic knowledge of Business Analysis tools and techniques
Experience:
- Information Technology or Computer Programming diploma
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience with multiple programming languages, technology stacks and database technologies
- Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle
Special Working Conditions/Conditions of Employment
- Maintain a valid Class “G” driver’s license throughout employment
